02 valuable things I’d learned at this new environment:
One: BE (EVEN MORE) FLEXIBLE
Two: BE POSITIVE AND TRY MY BEST TO BUILD A POSITIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT AROUND ME ALL THE TIME
…
FLEXIBLE!
Someone in my team left today. Temporarily. Nothing changed!
This person gave me a uncomfortable feeling every time we talk. However, I could never hate her. She’s tough (or maybe too tough), stubborn and somehow, does not care about others’ feelings.
I think (and have been experiencing) that flexibility is something we must work on constantly. That is not something you were born with. It’s not part of your instinct nor natural ability. You must keep changing, adopting, familiarizing yourself with the environment you merge in. To be flexible is not to be persuaded, or followed or depended on other people’s action+though. It is the ability to go with the flow, stay on top of it and once you reach the very top, you control it!
Going against everything or following foolishly are not wise at all. I had failed numerous times in my younger life due to my inflexibility. I am still working on this skill, brushing it everyday and hopefully, someday, I could become almost as good as Ms. Cremer (my current idol for being positive & being flexible).
…
POSITIVE!
I am watching a drama called “Shining Inheritance” and as always, I found something interesting that must be written to be remembered: The importance of positive attitude.
The person who is always negative, hateful, nagging, lazy could never be loved. You don’t have to be the best at your job, but you got to be positive all the time. By doing this easy action (extremely difficult actually), you will find your working hours much more refreshing & alive. It’s utmost important that every single member of your team recognizes the importance of this simple rule.
A positive working environment could bring out a fabulous – coorporative – effective team. It is also necessary that all members must express their true feeling towards others at the very beginning. Bearing in mind, the way of expression must be appropriate, transparent, direct and constructive.
Let’s imagine that one co-worker mistook you and brought up an argument. You brought this conversation and talked to all other co-workers in the same department or even another department. The outcome is never good. First case, a group of people will believe that you’re innocent and start feeling uncomfortable with that particular person. Second case, the rest of people will disagree and even talk back to that co-worker. He/she becomes upset at you. All the work flow between you and that person delay and ineffective. This does not bring any good deed to you or that co-worker.
Most importantly, your behavior could then be examined, discussed and more dangerously, followed by other people. The work becomes a gossip market and all topics involve around disagreement, negative behavior and dirty stories.
Now,
